Import/Export

February 2nd, 2006 by Narendra

How do I import my existing calendar?

You can import your events from Yahoo, Outlook, Apple iCal, and anything else that supports ICS or CSV export. Check out the import tool.

How do I export data?

You can export your data in a variety of ways. Visit your Settings > Syndication page. The best way is to export an ICS file, which can be read by many other calendar applications. We also support CSV, HTML badges, public web pages, etc. Unlike other applications, we have no intention of keeping you from getting your data!

How do I sync my desktop and 30 Boxes calendar?

Currently there is only a one-way sync available.  Using MS Outlook and the RemoteCalendars plugin available at sourceforge.net you can subscribe to one of your calendar Views as an iCalendar Subscription and have it update in your MS Outlook.  From there you can push it out to a mobile device.  Changes you make to the calendar in MS Outlook will NOT be replicated in 30 Boxes.

You may also subscribe with Apple’s iCalendar.

Will you ever have a true bi-directional sync application?

We will soon be releasing the “write” methods to our API allowing developers to insert data into our database which will allow others to create sync applications for all of your favorite programs. Patience will be rewarded!
