What I would love is a way to sync 30 Boxes with Google Calendar! I know the two products may be in direct competition, but I love that Google Calendar works so well with all their other products, especially google maps…and I ALSO love the format and interface of 30 Boxes. (Way more than Google Calendar.) Will a sync ever be possible?

Just in time… I’ve been wanting this.

Hi Maggie,
the two definitely can sync together. SyncMyCal has a GCal to Outlook sync tool as well. And both versions work perfectly together with each other.
And as far as I know, there is a packaged pricing which allows you to buy both at a discounted price.
Of course, you can use the lite versions of both for free.
Cheers.

Is there any hope for a 30 Boxes Blackberry app? I love the app Google created for GMail, however they’ve yet to do something similar with Google Calander, if 30 Boxes could beat them to the punch with a clean, easy to navigate calander app that includes the awesome One Box Entry it would make quite an impact on my life and I’m sure many others.

you can sync 30boxes with google calendar, can’t you? isn’t it just an rss feed?

Some SyncML support would be nicer.

@Maggie & @dep — you can show all your events, or just the tags you want, in Gcal with the iCal feed. just create a new calendar in gcal and put in the webcal address provided in the 30b Sharing tab.
this is how i get my calendar onto my wife’s gcal.

I thought we were the “non-outlook” crowd. It would much more useful for me to have a light desktop client (AIR possibly) for when I am not online and a sync ability directly to my phone’s Calendar app. Or an app that runs on my Nokia e70 and syncs when connected to the interweb

Erik,
I assume you are talking to the developers out there! The sync app was written by a 3rd party and we’d love to see others like an AIR version.

Do you also intend to distribute a free tool? Y! Calendar currently distributes a FREE sync tool. It won’t be too long before they too have a cool, sleek interface like 30 boxes.
In addition, do you intend to support a Thunderbird/Lightning sync tool? I’m currently stuck in a transition between Outlook and Thunderbird that is being held up by a lack of working calendar sync tools for Thunderbird.

Vaibhav Gadodia, that is a good suggestion if people are using Outlook. What if we don’t have Outlook or use it as an intermediary?
Hillary Hartley, if someone updates their GCal, do I get the updates in my 30boxes or is that just a one-way sync to Gcal?

dfb: i went to thunderbird, must say it’s thirsty on memory, slow on the scroll/refresh; and don’t like their search functionality (at least compared to web gmail).
that said, i do have it managing 5 email accounts…
nevertheless, i’m looking to consolidate / improve my working-apps….. currently thunderbird and (ugh) palm desktop…… i’m having trouble finding something that will easily allow me to manage contacts & their appointments & tasks & notes/research…..
anyone know of an offering that handles all that in one go?
thanks
