30 Boxes and the Facebook Revolution

30 Boxes in Facebook

Sorry for the long hiatus. We have been hard at work integrating 30 Boxes into facebook as part of their latest f8 platform.

The results so far have been fantastic. Our usage has been up 2-50 times depending on what metrics you look at and we are very excited. Here is a quick rundown on what we now have up and running.

Most importantly. If you use facebook, please add our application! We have built a stylish version of 30B that fits perfectly within facebook and allows

  1. sharing on your profile page
  2. sharing with facebook friends (as Buddies)
  3. integrated viewing of your facebook events
  4. web stuff viewing of your facebook photos
  5. news feed updates with other 30B facebook users about your calendar activity and web stuff additions

Help us climb the charts, by adding our application. Tell your facebook friends. Use the share button, etc. We have had more than 100,000 facebook users sign up so far and things are just getting going.

Back on the 30 Boxes side, we have also added additional integration points. Once you add facebook (either by adding the app directly from facebook OR by adding it via Web Stuff) you’ll see a new F button on the top left of your calendar that lets you sync up events, photos, and status. Push it once per day :-)

Your facebook events and photos will now be on your calendar and shared with buddies.

I may be forgetting some stuff. But in the meantime, join the revolution — add 30 Boxes to facebook.

Facebook, Facebook, Facebook, Facebook, Facebook, Facebook, Facebook, Facebook, Facebook, enuf. I thought this site would be the Aggregator. Not the web-app being aggregated.

Ha! We’re still the aggregator ;-)

Calendars look much better full screen!

The events I tend to want to share with my friends are public events. I list those events in upcoming.yahoo.com. I love that 30B lets me aggregate those events with my personal events. I would love the 30B F’book app more if there was a workaround to share these public events with my friends on F’book. As far as I can tell, I can’t edit/tag the imported events (in this case from upcoming.yahoo.com)?

I like the 30boxes facebook app, but it would be much more useful to me if the upcoming schedule gave times as well as dates. Simply having “work” listed every day doesn’t tell my friends WHEN I’m at going to be at work and when I’m going to be available. Could you add this in a future version?

What are the latest updates for this app for facebook? I like it, but I think I agree with Rachel, it needs to be a bit more specific.

Will my Private events show up on the FB App?
