Introducing Twapper!March 11th, 2007 by Narendra |
SXSW is catapulting our favorite presence/nanoblogging app, Twitter, to new heights. Nick and I just cranked out an addition to our mobile suite called Twapper which lets you keep up with twitter on your mobile phone brower.
That’s right, you can dial down the constant SMS notifications.

Not only that but it has built in image support for flickr! Yes, you can now photo share via twitter by including any flickr photo page as a link in your twitter post.
As soon as we get a chance, we are going to work your Buddy Updates back into this as well! Very fun.

Thanks 30 Boxes - I can’t wait to try this out while at work tomorrow rather than the mass of SMS messages I get. I’ll see how it compares to a Google Talk IM client on my MDA as well.

my sidekick browser always crashes on twitter due to the number of contacts I have.. I had made a temporary solution but didn’t have the patience to code a proper application.

Twitter Rocks the ‘Net
For the past two weeks or so I’ve been using Twitter; and up until the beginning of this week, I was struggling to understand it’s relevance. Then the light bulb when on. When I was in the fog trying to “get it”, Twitter seem…

I love Twapper and am very disappointed that it has stopped working with Twitter. Every attempt to check friend’s tweets results in “Sorry, twitter is busy. Reload”. Reloading changes nothing. It’s been like this for about two weeks and I am lost without Twapper.
Twitter HAS had numerous outages within the past three weeks and I think they changed something that broke Twapper’s ability to retrieve tweets. Is anyone researching this in search of a solution or is Twapper dead in the water?
Thank you for your time and great application!

Twitter has been throttling a lot of the outside services that use their API so we just have to be patient with them…
