Good Things Come To Those Who ListenNovember 29th, 2006 by Nick |
At 30 Boxes, we are really lucky. Our users are constantly coming up with new features, reporting bugs, and providing general suggestions - in fact we have about 7,500 posts in our forum since we launched 9 months ago, and we implement at least a couple of these suggestions each week. Our users are making 30 Boxes much better than we can do it alone!
Once in a while we get a real gem, and today we got a beauty: use the scroll wheel to move your calendar up and down. User B10m wrote a little greasemonkey script earlier today and we instantly new we needed this on the site for everyone. He kindly gave us permission to implement his idea, and now when you scroll your mouse wheel, the calendar scolls too. If you’re looking at a single day (the “day view”) and scroll, the days will follow.

30 Boxes!

That was quick! Once again, you’ve shown that you really do listen to your users. I didn’t know about the day view scrolling (was it there?). Kudos for taking such a great, simple script and running with it!

Funking superb.
The number of times I’ve scrolled, expecting it to work … now it will :-D

Awesome to see it implemented this fast.
@Hillary:
The ‘day view’ scrolling wasn’t my idea and it wasn’t in the original greasemonkey hack.

Nice one! Just saw it and wondered whether or not I’d implemented a Greasemonkey-script for this and forgotten about it!
Also, touché on making the to-do-list nice and printable (although it still lists all my done items as not done).

Ack! Is it just me whose calendar has stopped scrolling…?
[Narendra: No, we just stopped scrolling the calendar if you have scrollbars on your browser visible. Maximize your browser!]
