Your Calendar Can Talk - RobocalNovember 8th, 2006 by Narendra |
We have been a bit remiss in promoting some of the projects that our third party developers have been working on. We haven’t even ever posted about Zach’s most excellent Firefox plugin which has been out for ages. Our plan is to get a developer wiki going soon and be more diligent.
Ted Gilchrist has put together an experimental mashup that is pretty wild. It is called Robocal and it uses our API and some IVR magic to let you make a phone call directly to your calendar. That’s right, 30 Boxes speaks. Using your keypad you can navigate from day to day.
Not only that, you can add voice notes to any day. Robocal records your note and attaches it as a file to an event on your calendar!
There is about an hour lag between when you add an event in 30 Boxes and it syncs with Robocal. Voice notes, however, are added within 5 minutes.
Nice work Ted. Check it out here.

Hi Zip Master,
I just took a look at your RoboCal account and it seems like it’s working, at least from my end. Can you send me mail at robocalinfo@gmail.com, if you have some specific questions? I ‘d definitely like to make sure this is working for you.
Thanks,
Ted Gilchrist
