30 Boxes Buddy CardsOctober 6th, 2006 by Narendra |

In conjunction with our social reputation system, we have put out the first application that extends the 30 Boxes social network outside of 30 Boxes. It is called Buddy Cards and is currently in beta for WordPress blogging software. You can try it out by posting a comment on my blog at No Soap Radio! or by looking at my emerging community.
The idea is that your identity (including your Truthiness Rating) should be portable! The great thing about Buddy Cards is that they immediately add color and vibrancy to a blog–after all it is a two-way dialogue. We aim to encourage transparency (be proud of who you are) and participation.
Do you have a WordPress blog? Submit a request from our contact form to try it out.

30 Boxes!

I like the idea. With a reasonable amount of people using 30Boxes, this could provide a good service for the blogging community.
The buddy card itself looks nice, but not being able to click the listed services people subscribe to (even though they look like clickable hyperlinks) is a bit counterintuitive.
[Narendra: one great thing about them is that if there is no 30Boxes profile, it will generate one on the fly from the open web]

I would love use a buddy card as a signature in my email. Unfortunately gmail has a limit of 1000 characters
