Track. Organize. Share

September 15th, 2005 by Julie

Product definition begins. How do you distill what your application stands for in one catchy, marketing friendly phrase when your an engineer? For those of technically trained (and not necessarily graced with the “marketer’s touch”) we go for direct and succinct. Please see title of post.

However, “Track, Organize and Share” may not entirely do us justice. When our feature list is complete 30boxes will allow people to create and keep a rich journal of their life and their activities, it will track the goings on of their friends, and it will help them keep some order in their current schedules and the schedules of their family and friends. So in its purest sense, we are helping you track your life and the lives of your friends, we are giving you tools to organize yourself and your events, and we’ve built functionality for you to share these things with others. So Track, Organize and Share seems like an ok choice right now.

As an aside, Narendra threw out “clogging” or calendar-blogging as a description. I feel we have enough –ogging inspired words out there in the world right now. Plus this could possibly confuse people into thinking we are either choking up their calendar by “clogging” it, or in some weird way are related to dancing with clogs on… you see my point.

So for now, we’re going with Track Organize and Share. But keep watching this space.
